Next year will see a campaign to attract more visitors to the county and to support the local economy. 'Made in Derbyshire' will take place throughout 2015. The campaign will promote the Derbyshire economy locally and nationally through culture, heritage and sporting events, products and festivals. It will bring together existing events and activities and promote them to wider audiences. A particular focus will be highlighting events and products unique to the county.
The idea for Made in Derbyshire 2015 stems from Culture Derbyshire, which is a multi-agency partnership exercising strategic leadership of the cultural sector in Derbyshire. Culture Derbyshire has published a Cultural Prospectus for Derbyshire, 2012-2016.
Our objectives for the year are to:
· Celebrate life in Derbyshire - the county, its people and all that is “Made in Derbyshire”
· Establish Derbyshire as an exciting cultural destination for visitors from the UK and abroad, offering an inventive mix of world-class, local and distinctive cultural provision
· Nurture new talent and celebrate Derbyshire people
· Promote Derbyshire products
If you’d like to take part, please email arts.team@derbyshire.gov.uk
