Selling Your Creative Output

Getting products or services to market is a major issue for any business, but it can be especially acute for artists and creative businesses.  The arts and creative sector can be a notoriously difficult sector in which to make a living if you cannot connect with a range of potential customers.  The issue of how to price output is also far more complex within the creative sector as is the need to protect your intellectual property.

The internet is now the major tool for promoting and selling artists' work and there are a range of galleries and festivals within and around Derbyshire that are open to showcasing work from local artists and creative businesses.

Below are some key links to organisations or guides that can assist you in selling your creative output.  There are also links to guides around compliance and protecting the value of your creative output.

Don't forget to check out our Jobs and Opportunities page where we advertise all the latest local opportunities and commissions for artists and creative businesses.
