How to make the most of attending a
craft fair

Creative Derbyshire in partnership with Derbyshire Food & Drink Fair (Arts & Crafts) is pleased to offer this new workshop for artists and craft makers
Michelle Bowen will lead this practical workshop which will consider and advise on how artists and craft makers can make the most of presenting and selling their work at craft fairs. The session will provide a planning framework and tools on how to make the most of show build up, delivery and follow up. Michelle will offer key pointers for success, top tips for selling as well as examples of effective marketing.
About Michelle
Michelle Bowen has worked within the creative industries for over 18 years. She has worked across both the public and private sector including as Director of Oxford Gallery and in development posts at both Crafts Council and Arts Council England. She has delivered high profile events at One Year On at New Designers, Future Forms at 100% Design and has undertaken many international trips including two trade missions to Japan and visits to the New York Gift Fair. Michelle is currently working independently as a freelance consultant and project manager.
Venue
The workshop will be held at Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, DE4 3AG. Please report to the Main Reception on arrival. Parking at County Hall is very limited indeed. If none is available here, please allow yourself plenty of time to look for a space in the surrounding streets.
Cost
There is a small charge of £15 for this workshop. This allows us to keep other events within the Creative Derbyshire programme free.
